MRPL has bagged the second prize in Jawaharlal Nehru Centenary Awards for Energy Performance of Refineries for 2007-08. Jawaharlal Nehru Centenary Awards for energy performance instituted by MoP&G are distributed to refineries every year to recognize superior performances in Energy Optimization and Hydrocarbon loss management.
MRPL had earlier won the first prize in the same awards for four consecutive years till 2006-07.
