MRPL Board, in its 193rd meeting held on 09/02/2015 approved acquisition of major stake in ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited (OMPL), Mangalore, increasing the holding from 3% to 46% by purchasing fully paid up equity shares from individual shareholders.

ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited (OMPL) incorporated in 19th Dec 2006, is jointly promoted by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC), and MRPL.

The Aromatic Complex of OMPL set up in the 442 acres of Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ) is situated adjacent to MRPL Phase III so as to receive feedstocks directly from MRPL.

OMPL’s Aromatic complex is designed to produce 0.9 MMTPA of Paraxylene and 0.3 MMTPA of Benzene
