To create awareness about the energy conservation MRPL organised a Cycle Rally in Mangalore on 20th January 2019. The members of Mangalore Bicycle Club, Mangalore Cycling Club and We R Cycling supported this event by their active participation along with school children, Scouts & Guides students, MRPL employees and their dependents.

Over 500 enthusiastic cyclists pedalled off from Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) Building as a part of SAKSHAM Cycle Day 2019. The cyclists followed the route of Urwa Store Bus Stop, Ashok Nagar, Barke Police Station and concluded at Bharat Scouts & Guides Bhavan after covering a distance of around 7 kms.

The cycle rally was flagged off by Shri Nalin Kumar Kateel, Hon'ble MP – DK District and Shri M Venkatesh, our Managing Director. Shri BHV Prasad, GGM - HR, senior officers and employees in large numbers were present.

The refreshment was arranged at Bharat Scouts and Guides Bhavan, the concluding point.

Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) and Oil and Gas Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, were organising a Campaign to sensitize the masses about the conservation and efficient use of petroleum products towards achieving the twin objectives of better health and environment and securing availability of Oil and Gas for future generations. The campaign was named as 'SAKSHAM 2019' (Sanrakshan Kshamta Mahotsav) in which a number of activities were being carried out based on the theme– ‘Indhan Samrakshan ki Zimmedaari…Jangan ki Bhaagidhaari’.
